Solicitation of Qualified Marines to Become Intelligence Special Operations Capability Specialists at Marine Forces Special Operations Command
Marine Forces Special Operations Command (MARFORSOC) is soliciting qualified Marines from Intelligence (02XX) and Signals Intelligence/Ground Electronic Warfare (26XX) MOSs to become Intelligence Special Operations Capability Specialists (SOCS). Eligible Marines must be E-3 through E-6 (E-7 with less than 1 year TIG considered case-by-case), have 36 months TIS, possess Top Secret/SCI clearance, and meet physical fitness requirements including an 8-mile ruck in 2 hours with 45-pound load.

1. Marine Forces Special Operations Command (MARFORSOC) is seeking qualified Marines to apply to become an Intelligence Special Operations Capability Specialist (SOCS) at MARFORSOC. The Intelligence SOCS role is critical to providing intelligence support to MARFORSOC elements conducting special operations worldwide. 2. MARFORSOC requires highly qualified Marines to fill the critical role of Intelligence SOCS. This position is vital to supporting Special Operations Forces (SOF) operations worldwide and providing actionable intelligence to commanders. 3. Eligibility. 3.a. Military Occupational Specialty: 3.a.1. 02XX-Intelligence 3.a.2. 26XX-Signals Intelligence/Ground Electronic Warfare 3.b. Requirements: 3.b.1. E-3 through E-6. 3.b.2. E-7 with less than 1 year of Time in Grade (TIG) are encouraged to apply and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. 3.b.3. Minimum of 36 months of Time in Service (TIS). 3.b.4. No active MECEP or Warrant Officer packages submitted. 3.c. Physical Fitness Requirements: 3.c.1 Must pass current Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Combat Fitness Test (CFT). 3.c.2 Must pass Marine Corps Height/Weight standards. 3.c.3. Must possess a current basic swimming qualification. 3.c.4. Must be able to complete an 8-mile ruck within 2 hours while carrying a 45-pound load. 3.d. Moving and Orders Requirements: 3.d.1. Intel SOCS can serve up to 64 months at MARSOC and must possess a minimum of 36-month obligated service prior to reporting. Marines must be willing to gain obligated service to meet the minimum requirement of 36-months prior to reporting. 3.d.2. Marines must have 24 months time on station and be willing to execute a Permanent Change of Station (PCS) or Permanent Change of Assignment (PCA). 3.e. Security clearance. Must currently possess Top Secret/SCI. 3.f. Must have no disciplinary action within the last 36 months. 4. Special Operations Capabilities Specialist Pipeline. 4.a. Upon arrival to MARFORSOC, Intelligence Marines will conduct the following training: 4.a.1. SOCS Inventory 4.a.2. Special Operations Forces – Fundamentals Course 4.a.3. Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape Full Spectrum 4.a.4. Multi-Discipline Intelligence Operator Course (MDIOC) 5. Application Process. 5.a.
