The 2026 Marine Corps Aviation Association (MCAA) John Glenn Squadron (JGS) Marine Aviation Acquisition Awards Recipients
This MARADMIN announces the 2026 Marine Corps Aviation Association (MCAA) John Glenn Squadron Marine Aviation Acquisition Awards recipients. Five Marines and civilian acquisition professionals have been selected for awards recognizing excellence in aviation acquisition across various categories including test pilots, acquisition officers, and civilian testers. The awards will be presented at a formal dinner banquet at NAS Patuxent River, Maryland on April 16th, 2026.

1. The Deputy Commandant for Aviation extends his
sincere congratulations to the Marines and Civilian Acquisition
Professionals selected for the 2026 MCAA John Glenn Squadron Marine
Aviation Acquisition Awards. The exceptional caliber of nominees
across all categories reflects the unwavering dedication to mission
excellence demonstrated throughout the acquisition community. These
award recipients represent the highest standards of professionalism
and leadership. Their ingenuity, initiative and steadfast commitment
to duty bring great credit upon themselves, the acquisition
community, and the entire Marine Corps.
2. The 2026 MCAA John Glenn Squadron Aviation Acquisition Award
winners are:
a. Senator John H. Glenn Test Pilot/Naval Flight Officer (NFO)
of the Year:
Maj Nathan Winings, Air Test and Evaluation Squadron TWO FOUR
(UX-24).
b. J.J. McCue Civilian Tester of the Year:
Ms. Camille C. Van Hise, Air Test and Evaluation Squadron TWO ONE
(HX-21).
c. Lieutenant General Michael A. Hough Acquisition Officer of
the Year:
LtCol Alex C. Horne, Precision Strike Weapons Program Office
(PMA-201).
d. Thomas E. Laux Acquisition Civilian of the Year:
Mr. Jonathan D. Sides, Air Systems Group, Naval Air Warfare Center
Aircraft Division (NAWCAD).
e. Gunnery Sergeant Sean Joyce/Master Gunnery Sergeant Gary
Leader Acquisition Staff Non-Commissioned Officer (SNCO) of the Year:
GySgt Jonathan P. Bostick, F/A-18 and EA-18G Program Office
(PMA-265).
3. Citations as well as individual and permanent trophies will be
presented at a formal dinner banquet in the NAS Patuxent River,
Maryland area on April 16th, 2026.
