FY2026 55XX Primary Military Occupational Specialty (PMOS) Selection Board Results

This MARADMIN announces the results of the FY2026 selection board for the 55XX Primary Military Occupational Specialty (PMOS) in the Fleet Marine Band Program. Six Marines have been selected across three specialties: Ensemble Leader (Enlisted Conductor), Production Manager, and Instrument Repair Technician. The selections are effective immediately as of the date of this MARADMIN.

assignment to the Fleet Marine Band Program PMOS vacancies announced 
in reference (c):
1.a.  Marines selected to PMOS 5521 Ensemble Leader (Enlisted 
Conductor).

2.  The Marines listed on this message will have the approved PMOS 
entered in Mainframe Terminal Emulation Client (3270). Selection 
is effective on date of this MARADMIN.
3.  The associated training for PMOS 5523 convenes at Minnesota
State College Southeast, Red Wing Campus, Red Wing, MN.
3.a.  The PMOS 5523 Marines will be administratively assigned to 
Marine Detachment, Naval School of Music (K10) while at Minnesota
State College Southeast, Red Wing Campus, Red Wing, MN.
3.b.  PMOS 5523 selectee(s) who accept assignment to the training 
will incur (two) years of obligated service in order to report with a
minimum of 24 months remaining on contract upon graduation (on or 
around 14 May 2027). A page 11 entry is required prior to execution 
of the orders to document acceptance of the obligated service 
commitment.
3.c.  PMOS 5523 selectee(s) should expect to report on or about 18 
August 2026 in time for orientation. The course begins on or around 
24 August 2026 with a graduation date on or around 14 May 2027.
4.  Necessary PCS orders for all PMOS selectees will be coordinated 
via separate correspondence by Enlisted Assignments Branch (MMEA) 
and the 55XX OccFld Sponsor. The OccFld Sponsor will assist in the 
submission of any applicable time on station waivers.
