This MARADMIN solicits applications from qualified Marines for Fiscal Year 2027 Assistant Marine Officer Instructor (AMOI) positions, second tour Drill Instructor billets, and US Naval Academy Senior Enlisted Leader positions at various universities and military installations. Applications must be submitted no later than 1 October 2026 through the Total Force Retention System, with selected Marines reporting to their assignments between March and May 2027.

2.a.  Headquarters Marine Corps needs 8014 Senior Enlisted Leader
volunteers for the following FY27 vacancies (read in three columns):

3.  Obligated Service.  Marines must be willing to accept the
required obligated service for prescribed tour length for their
desired duty.
4.  Time on Station.  Marines must have 36-months Time On Station
(TOS) at estimated date of departure, in accordance with reference
(b).  TOS requirements for Marines requesting assignment in the same
geographic location do not apply.  Requests for Exception To Policy
(ETP) will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
5.  Marines must serve a minimum of 36-months in their Primary
Military Occupational Specialty since last Special Duty Assignment
(SDA) tour or screenable billet at estimated date of departure.
Requests for ETP will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
6.  Marines must meet waist to height standards.
7.  Pictures of tattoos must be submitted IAW Total Force Retention
System (TFRS) Message Number: A66568.
8.  Current Special Duty Assignments Pay, Assignment Incentive Pay,
and Volunteer Supplemental Incentive Pay rates are published on the

9.  Second tour Drill Instructors eligibility requirements.  In
addition to the eligibility requirements contained in reference (a)
and paragraphs 3-7, Marines applying for the above mentioned
billets, other than the US Naval Academy (see paragraph 9), must
meet and comply with the following criteria:
9.a.  Active-duty Marines in the grade of Staff Sergeant through
Master Sergeant.
9.b.  Successfully completed a Drill Instructor tour with an
Additional Military Occupational Specialty of 0911.
9.c.  Possess a minimum General Technical score of 100
(AMOI duty only).  Requests for ETP will be considered on a
case-by-case basis.
9.d.  Possess a minimum of 250 Physical Fitness Test (PFT) score for
Officer Candidate School (OCS) or a 215 PFT score for Marine Corps
Recruit Depots and Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) at
time of submission.
9.e.  Marines must complete the Drill Instructor Duty Checklist
(NAVMC 11705), provided in Appendix E of reference (a).
9.f.  Marines applying for this program must be willing to accept
assignment to any vacancy listed in paragraph 2.
9.g.  Marines selected for AMOI duty will be required to execute
their Permanent Change of Station moves and report to their
respective NROTC units no later 31 March 2027.  Upon reporting,
Marines should expect to augment to OCS summer training from April
2027 through August 2027.
10.  US Naval Academy eligibility requirements.  In addition to the
eligibility requirements contained in reference (a) and paragraphs
1-7, Marines applying for the US Naval Academy, must meet and comply
with the following criteria:
10.a.  Regular active-duty Marines in the grade of Staff Sergeant or
Gunnery Sergeant.
10.b.  Must have successfully completed a SDA or screenable billet,
in accordance with reference (a).  The Senior Enlisted Leader (8014)
billets are no longer restricted to second tour Drill Instructors.
The Drill Master billets are restricted to second tour Drill
Instructors (0911).
10.c.  Possess a minimum General Technical score of 100.  Requests
for ETP will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
10.d.  Possess a current first-class PFT score at the time of
submission.
10.e.  Marines interested in an assignment to US Naval Academy, must
download the US Naval Academy application at

10.f.  Must complete the Independent Duty Checklist (NAVMC 11710),
provided in Appendix E of reference (a).
10.g.  Marines selected for US Naval Academy will be required to PCS
and report no later 31 May 2027.
11.  Marines are authorized to submit for these billets year round.
The no later than for submission is 1 October 2026 and applications
with attachments must be submitted electronically using the SDA
request in Total Force Retention System to CMC (MMEA-25) via the
normal RELM routing chain. The enclosures to the RELM will contain 
the following:
11.a.  Administrative Action Form listing in order of precedence the
billets for which applying, dates served on Drill Instructor Duty
or screenable billet, and any other relevant information that should
be considered.
11.b.  Gunnery Sergeants must annotate their promotion preference
(M or F).
12.  This message is not applicable to the Marine Corps Reserve.
