Warning Order for the Convening of the Navy Manpower in Support of the Marine Corps (NMISOMC), Active Reserve (AR), and Individual Mobilization Augmentee (IMA) Reviews

This MARADMIN issues a warning order for three upcoming reviews in 2018: a Navy Manpower In Support Of The Marine Corps (NMISOMC) working group to assess capability shortfalls created by Marine Corps 2025 initiatives, and comprehensive Active Reserve (AR) and Individual Mobilization Augmentee (IMA) reviews in conjunction with Reserve Force 2025. Commands are encouraged to review their Tables of Organization and consider optimal alignment of IMA and AR structure in support of their missions.

1.  Purpose.  The Deputy Commandant, Combat Development and Integration will convene a working group to assess Navy Manpower In Support Of The Marine Corps (NMISOMC) capabilities shortfalls created by the Marine Corps active and reserve force 2025 initiatives.  For planning purposes, the review is tentatively scheduled for August 2018.  The working group will identify capability gaps created by Navy personnel deficiencies, recommend structural solutions, and prioritize corrective effort.  The Deputy Commandant Combat Development and Integration will also convene a comprehensive review, in conjunction with Reserve Force 2025 (RF 2025), of all categories that will include Selected Reserve (SelRes) within the total force.  Following CMC approval of RF 2025 (units), Total Force Structure Division and Reserve Affairs will co-chair an Active Reserve (AR) review and an Individual Mobilization Augmentee (IMA) review.  For planning purposes, the reviews are tentatively scheduled for September 2018.  In anticipation of these reviews, commands are encouraged to review their Tables of Organization (T/O) and consider the optimal alignment of IMA and AR structure in support of their assigned mission, role, and responsibilities.
