FY21 Transition-Conversion and Field Accession Board Package Submission Updates
This MARADMIN updates submission requirements for FY21 Aviation Transition-Conversion and Field Accession Boards in response to COVID-19 impacts. Due to pandemic-related challenges, HQMC Aviation has waived the current photo requirement and modified medical upchit (DD2992) submission guidelines, allowing expired upchits or packages without upchits depending on applicant category, with selected candidates required to provide valid upchits by September 15, 2020.

1. This MARADMIN updates information relating to the FY21 Transition-Conversion and Field Accession Boards. 2. In response to COVID-19 impacts, HQMC Aviation has modified photo and up-chit submission requirements for both Transition-Conversion and Field Accession Board applicants as follows: 2.a. The requirement of a current photo (within 1 year of the application deadline) according to paragraph 7.a. of REF A and B has been waived for all applicants. 2.b. Medical upchit (DD2992) submission guidelines are as follows: 2.b.1. Transition-Conversion Board applicants may submit their previous years' valid upchit to the board if their current flight physical has expired or will expire prior to 1 June 2020. Applicants who are in a DIFDEN status with an expired upchit greater than one year may submit their package with their most recent upchit. 2.b.2. Field Accession Board applicants may submit a package to the board without an upchit. 2.b.3. All applicants shall continue to attempt to gain a valid upchit to the maximum extent practicable and submit their package by the original deadline of 21 May. 2.b.4. Candidates without a valid upchit who are selected will be required to provide a valid upchit to ASM-30 no later than 15 Sep 2020. Candidates unable to complete the requirements within the timeline provided will forfeit their selection and an alternate will be notified via MMOA. 3. This bulletin is cancelled 1 Oct 2020. 4.
