Solicitation for Applications from Qualified Marines for FFI, MAIT, MCWIS at Martial Arts Fitness Center of Excellence Billet Vacancies

1. The purpose of this message is to solicit
applications from qualified Marines for Force Fitness Instructors
(FFI), Martial Arts Instructor Trainers (MAIT), Marine Corps
Instructors of Water Survival (MCIWS) at Martial Arts Fitness Center
of Excellence (MAFCE), and FFIs and MCIWS at various locations.
2. Headquarters Marine Corps needs FFI, MAIT, and MCIWS volunteers
for the following vacancies (read in four columns):

2. Tour Length. The normal tour length for FFI, MCIWS, and MAIT
is 36 months in accordance with reference (a).
3. Time on Station. Marines must have 36-months Time on Station
(TOS) at estimated date of departure, in accordance with reference
(b). TOS requirements for Marines requesting assignment in the same
geographic location do not apply. Requests for Exception to Policy
(ETP) will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
4. Eligibility requirements. Marines applying for FFI, MAIT, and
MCIWS must meet and comply with the following criteria:
4.a. Corporals through Gunnery Sergeants (GySgt) are eligible for
FFI and MCIWS. Sergeants through Master Sergeant are eligible for
MAIT. GySgts are eligible for Human Performance Branch.
4.b. Marines must meet waist to height standards.
4.c. Marines must conduct an interview with the Director of the
nearest location of the duty they are applying for prior to
application submission. If Marines are not located within the local
area of one of the billet locations, the interview can be conducted
remotely at the discretion of the associated schoolhouse Director.
5. Applications with attachments must be submitted electronically
using the Special Duty Assignment request in Total Force Retention
System (TFRS) to CMC (MMEA-25) via the normal RELM routing chain.
Unit Career Counselors have access to the TFRS program. The
enclosures to the RELM will contain the following:
5.a. NAVMC 11713 (Commanding Officers Screening/Interview guide
formal School Instructor Duty) with Commanding Officer endorsement.
5.b. Marine Corps Physical Fitness Program Staff Screening
Checklist.
