Advance Notification of Forthcoming Increases to Monthly Amounts of Hostile Fire Pay and Imminent Danger Pay

1.  Purpose.  To provide advance notification of
forthcoming increases to the monthly payment amounts of Hostile Fire
Pay (HFP) and Imminent Danger Pay (IDP).
2.  Background.  Reference (a) provides the authority for payment of
HFP and IDP.  References (b) and (c) provide implementing policy and
regulations for such payments.  Reference (d) updates the monthly
payment amounts of HFP and IDP effective 01 October 2026.
3.  General.  Aside from the following changes, all other provisions
of references (b) and (c) remain in effect.  All existing Service
procedures for payment of HFP and IDP will remain in effect.
4.  Monthly Payment Amounts.  Effective 01 October 2026, the monthly
payment amounts of HFP and IDP increase as follows:
4.a.  HFP increases to $450 per month.
4.b.  IDP increases to $275 per month.  This monthly rate is prorated
at $9.16 per day based upon the actual time spent in a designated
imminent danger area.
5.  Manpower Plans and Policy Division is the Service-level 
authority for HFP and IDP policy determinations under references (a)
through (d).
5.a.  Questions regarding this MARADMIN should first be referred to
the local administrative section and servicing Personnel
Administration Center.
5.b.  Requests for information or policy determination that cannot be
resolved by the administrative support chain may be submitted via the

6.  This MARADMIN is applicable to the Marine Corps Total Force.
