This MARADMIN announces changes to the Active Reserve (AR) Fiscal Year 2027 Total Force Integration Staff Training (TFIST) course dates and eligibility. The change allows enlisted AR Staff Noncommissioned Officers (SNCOs) in grades E6 and E7 to attend Basic TFIST, with AR SNCOs limited to no more than fifty percent of course seats.

1. Purpose. This MARADMIN announces changes to paragraph (2) of MARADMIN 217/26. This message outlines changes to allow enlisted AR Staff Noncommissioned Officers (SNCOs), specifically grades E6 and E7, to attend Basic TFIST. AR SNCOs will obtain no more than fifty percent of course seats. For course registration, please contact POCs listed in this message. 2. Background. Education at the basic level of reserve integration is necessary to ensure understanding at the Advanced TFIST course. Questions related to these changes must be directed at the POCs listed on this MARADMIN. All instructions, details, and authorities specified in reference (a) remain the same. 3.
