Updated Enlisted PME Requirements by Grade

This MARADMIN clarifies and updates the Professional Military Education (PME) requirements for enlisted Marines at each grade level, superseding all previously published requirements. It establishes specific distance education and in-person course requirements for active component, reserve component (including Active Reserve, Selected Marine Corps Reserve, and Individual Ready Reserve), covering ranks from Lance Corporal through Sergeant Major.

1.  This Marine Administrative Message clarifies and supercedes previously published enlisted professional military education requirements by grade, and incorporates all changes to this point in time.<br>
2.  Active component requirements by grade.<br>
2.A.  Lance Corporal:  Leading Marines Distance Education Program EPME3000 and Command-Sponsored Lance Corporals Leadership and Ethics Seminar.<br>
2.B.  Corporal:  Corporals Course Distance Education Program EPME4000 and Command-Sponsored Corporals Course.<br>
2.C.  Sergeant:  Sergeants School Distance Education Program EPME5000, and either the Resident Sergeants School or Sergeants School Seminar Program.<br>
2.D.  Staff Sergeant:  Career School Distance Education Program EPME6000, and either the Resident Career School or Career School Seminar Program.<br>
2.E.  Gunnery Sergeant:  Advanced School Distance Education Program EPME7000, and either the Resident Advanced School or Advanced School Seminar Program.<br>
2.F.  Master Sergeant:  First Sergeant and Master Sergeant Regional Seminar.<br>
2.G.  First Sergeant:  First Sergeant and Master Sergeant Regional Seminar and First Sergeants Course.<br>
2.H.  Sergeant Major:  Cornerstone:  The Commandant's Combined Commandership course.<br>
3.  Reserve Component Requirements by grade.<br>
3.A.  Active Reserve (AR) Marines.  PME requirements for AR Marines are the same as the active duty requirements listed in para 2.<br>
3.B.  Selected Marine Corps Reserve.<br>
3.B.1.   Lance Corporal:  Leading Marines Distance Education Program EPME3000 and Command-Sponsored Lance Corporals Leadership and Ethics Seminar.<br>
3.B.2.  Corporal:  Corporals Course Distance Education Program EPME4000 and Reserve Command-Sponsored Corporals Course.<br>
3.B.3.  Sergeant:  Sergeants School Distance Education Program EPME5000, and either the Reserve Resident Sergeants School or Sergeants School Seminar Program.<br>
