1. Purpose. This MARADMIN provides points of contact and application assistance for Marines seeking PMOS 5702, CBRND Officer, through the FY28 Enlisted to Warrant Officer (WO) Regular or Reserve Selection Boards. 2. Background. The CBRND community relies on qualified Marines from across the Marine Corps to meet accession requirements for PMOS 5702, CBRND Officer. Deliberate recruiting efforts are essential to identify Marines with the expertise, leadership potential, and professional qualifications required to serve as future CBRND Officers. 2.a. CBRND Officers serve as technical advisers to commanders and staffs on CBRND and Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD). They provide operational and tactical expertise in CBRN protection, response, planning, readiness, and force integration, and contribute to plans, orders, annexes, and standard operating procedures. 2.b. CBRN Officers assigned to protection billets develop and integrate CBRND plans that enable commanders to operate effectively in contested and CBRN-threat environments. Officers assigned to response billets plan, coordinate, and lead CBRND support to Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) and joint force operations. Officers serving in analytical, intelligence, and assessment roles apply CBRN expertise to operational and intelligence information to support threat assessment, planning, and decision-making. 2.c. Marines selected for appointment as CBRND Warrant Officers are initially assigned MOS 5701, Basic CBRND Officer. Upon successful completion of the CBRN Basic Warrant Officer Course and prescribed qualification requirements, officers are designated PMOS 5702, CBRND Officer. 2.d. The CBRND occupational field benefits from Marines with diverse operational, technical, intelligence, aviation, logistics, communications, and combat arms experience. Qualified Marines from all occupational fields are encouraged to apply. 2.e. CBRND Officers may serve as CBRND Officers, protection officers, response officers, or CWMD planners at the tactical, operational, and strategic levels based on organizational requirements and command priorities. 3. Eligibility. Applicants must meet all eligibility and appointment requirements established in references (a) and (b), and the applicable FY28 Enlisted to WO Regular or Reserve Selection Board MARADMIN. 3.a. Applicants for PMOS 5702 must meet the grade, service, and other eligibility requirements prescribed by the applicable selection board MARADMIN and reference (a). 3.b. Applicants must possess an active Secret security clearance prior to attending the CBRN Basic Warrant Officer Course. 3.c. A regional POC review does not constitute selection, approval, waiver authority, or formal submission of an application package. 4. Application Process. 4.a. Applicants will prepare and submit WO application packages, including all required endorsements and supporting documentation, in accordance with the applicable FY28 Enlisted to WO Regular or Reserve Selection Board MARADMIN. 4.b.
