November 2026 Staff Noncommissioned Officer (SNCO) Promotions for Active Reserve (AR), Selected Marine Corps Reserve (SMCR), and Individual Ready Reserve (IRR) and December 2026/January 2027 Planned SNCO Promotions for AR, SMCR, and IRR
This MARADMIN announces November 2026 Staff Noncommissioned Officer (SNCO) promotions for Marine Corps Reserve components (Active Reserve, Selected Marine Corps Reserve, and Individual Ready Reserve) and provides projections for December 2026 and January 2027 promotions. Commanders are authorized to effect promotions upon receipt but not prior to 1 November 2026, with specific obligated service requirements that must be met before promotion.

1. Upon receipt of this MARADMIN, but not prior to <br>
1 November 2026, Commanders will effect the promotion of selected <br>
Marines per paragraph 5100 of reference (a). Cite this MARADMIN as <br>
authority for promotion.<br>
2. Marines who do not possess an Expiration of Active Service or <br>
Reserve Expiration of Current Contract of 31 October 2028 or later <br>
are not authorized to be promoted. Marines who do not comply with <br>
Obligated Service (OBS) requirements before their seniority number <br>
being reached will receive a date of rank and effective date for <br>
the 1st of the following month after compliance with OBS. <br>

the current month per reference (b). Numbers may not always add up<br>
due to noncompetitive selections (Warrant Officer and Marine Corps <br>
Enlisted Commissioning Education Program selects; assigned a <br>
seniority number with an alpha letter), discharges, and promotion <br>
restrictions.<br>
