Fiscal Year 2026 Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps Professor of Naval Science Selection Board Results

This MARADMIN announces the results of the Fiscal Year 2026 Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) Professor of Naval Science (PNS) selection board, which convened on October 29, 2025. Three officers were selected as primary selectees for PNS duty at various universities (The Citadel, Texas A&M University, and Norwich University), and three additional officers were selected as alternates. Primary selectees must contact their monitor within 10 days of this message's release.

1.  The Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26) Professor of Naval
Science (PNS) selection board convened on 29 October 2025 to select
officers for duty beginning in 2026.
2.  The board considered the records of all officers who applied
against the requirements of the available universities, individual
career progression, competitiveness, preferences of the applicant,
and overall needs of the Marine Corps.  As an integral component of
our officer corps accessions, only those officers who met the
standard of best and fully qualified were selected for PNS duty.
3.  Selection board results
3.a.  Primary selectees.  The following officers were selected as
primaries for PNS duty in FY26 (read in four columns):

4.  Coordinating Instructions
4.a.  Primary selectees
4.a.1.  Acceptance of selection.  This message serves as
notification of orders for officers listed in paragraph 3.a.
Selected officers are directed to contact their monitor NLT 10 days
from the release of this message.
4.a.2.  Each officer assigned to PNS duty will become part of the
university staff.  Orders will not be issued until nominations are
accepted by the assigned university.
4.b.  Alternate selectees.  No action is required on the part of
officers on the alternate list in paragraph 3.b.  In the event that
a billet becomes vacant, Manpower Management will fleet-up an
officer from the alternate list.  Primary MOS monitors will directly
contact any alternate selected as a fleet-up.
4.c.  Declinations and deferrals
4.c.1.  Declinations.  Requests for declination by officers who
applied and were selected for PNS duty will not normally receive
favorable consideration.
4.c.2.  Deferrals.  Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC) will not
normally accept deferrals.
