SITUATION. The Marine Corps is committed to ensuring all Marines have access to quality childcare services that support mission readiness and family well-being. This MARADMIN provides guidance on childcare fee assistance programs available to eligible Marines.
CHILDCARE FEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS
1. Child Development Center (CDC) Fee Assistance. The CDC Fee Assistance Program provides subsidized childcare rates based on total family income for eligible families using installation CDCs.
  1. Eligibility is determined by total family income and is recertified annually.
  2. Fees are calculated on a sliding scale based on income brackets.
  3. Applications are submitted through the installation CDC.
2. Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood (MCCYN). This program provides fee assistance for eligible families using civilian childcare providers in their local community.
  1. Families must be on a CDC waiting list to be eligible.
  2. Providers must be licensed and meet program standards.
  3. Fee assistance is based on total family income.
3. Child Care Aware of America (CCAoA). This program connects military families with local childcare resources and provides fee assistance for eligible families.
  1. Available to families not able to access installation-based care.
  2. Provides referrals to quality childcare providers.
  3. Fee assistance available based on eligibility criteria.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
1. Active duty Marines and their families.
2. Reserve Marines on active duty orders of 140 days or more.
3. Dual military couples.
4. Single parents.
5. Families with special needs children may receive priority placement.
APPLICATION PROCESS
1. Contact your installation Marine and Family Programs (MFP) office or CDC to begin the application process.
2. Provide required documentation including:
  1. Proof of total family income (Leave and Earnings Statements, tax returns, spouse income documentation).
  2. Child's birth certificate.
  3. Immunization records.
  4. Special needs documentation if applicable.
3. Complete required forms and submit to the CDC or MFP office.
4. Await determination of eligibility and fee category.

EXECUTION. Commanders at all levels shall ensure Marines and their families are aware of available childcare fee assistance programs and facilitate access to these resources. Installation MFP offices and CDCs shall provide timely processing of applications and maintain current information on program eligibility and benefits.
