Change 1 Fiscal Year 2027 Selective Retention Bonus Program and Fiscal Year 2027 Broken Service Selective Retention Bonus Program
This MARADMIN announces changes to the Fiscal Year 2027 Selective Retention Bonus (SRB) Program, updating bonus amounts for specific Primary Military Occupational Specialties (PMOS) across Zones A, B, and C. It also discontinues certain lateral move bonus eligibilities for PMOS 1721. The changes affect Marines with an Expiration of Current Contract between October 1, 2026, and September 30, 2027.

1. Purpose. This MARADMIN announces changes to reference (a). Marines with an Expiration of Current Contract (ECC) from 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2027 are encouraged to thoroughly review the contents of this MARADMIN. 2. Background. Other than the changes outlined in section 3, all Fiscal Year 2027(FY27) Selective Retention Bonus (SRB) authorities remain in effect, per reference (a). 3. Eligibility. This MARADMIN updates specified Primary Military Occupational Specialties (PMOS) SRB amounts as detailed below: 3.a. Lateral Move (LM) bonus eligibility changes. Marines reenlisting for a LM into the 1721 PMOS are no longer eligible for the 84-month LM kicker advertised in reference (a). Furthermore, the associated PMOS bonus eligibility for Zone A Marines submitting for a LM into 1721 PMOS is discontinued. All other LM bonuses within reference (a) remain in effect. 4. Coordinating Instructions. The FY27 SRB Program statement of understanding is available for download from the Total Force Retention System and the Enlisted Retention Manpower page. References (a) through (d) contain amplifying instructions for the execution of enlisted bonus payments. 5. If SRB funds are obligated faster than currently planned or there is a change in retention requirements, HQMC will suspend or terminate the FY27 SRB Program as required prior to 30 September 2027. 6.
