FY26 Solicitation of Qualified Marines for the Joint Special Operations Command Cyber Protection Team
This MARADMIN solicits qualified enlisted Marines in intelligence (0231) and cyberspace warfare (1721, 1799) specialties to screen for assignment to Cyber Protection Team Six (CPT 6), which provides defensive cyberspace operations for Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC). Selected Marines must possess TS/SCI clearance, be willing to PCS/PCA to Fort Bragg, NC for 36-60 months, and will gain access to advanced training, certifications, and national-level operations supporting Special Operations Forces.

1. Situation. To solicit qualified enlisted Marines to screen for assignment to Cyber Protection Team Six (CPT 6). All Marines assigned to CPT 6 must meet specific and stringent criteria in support of Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) requirements. 2. Mission. CPT 6 delivers global, Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) for JSOC and supports Special Operations Forces (SOF) across the enterprise. The CPT provides innovative, leading-edge cyber concepts, operational effects, and security solutions within the SOF information environment. Operating under United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) authorities, the team works in highly sensitive environments supporting strategic and tactical mission sets. 3. Execution. 3.a. General Eligibility Guidelines. 3.a.1. Military Occupational Specialty and Rank Requirements: 3.a.1.a. 0231 â€" Intelligence Specialist. Rank requirement: Sergeant and Staff Sergeant. 3.a.1.b. 1721 â€" Cyberspace Warfare Operator. Rank requirement: Corporal with at least 2 years Time in Grade, Sergeant, Staff Sergeant, and Gunnery Sergeant. 3.a.1.c. 1799 â€" Cyberspace Warfare Chief. Rank Requirement: Master Sergeant. 3.a.2. Security Clearance. Must possess a current and adjudicated TS/SCI clearance. 3.a.3. Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting DCO-IDM, hunt operations, incident response, or SOF-aligned missions. 3.b. Moving and Orders Requirements: 3.b.1. Marines must be eligible to execute a Permanent Change of Station (PCS) or Permanent Change of Assignment (PCA) within 24 months following completion of the screening process. 3.b.2. Marines must be willing to accept 36 to 60 months orders to Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and incur obligated service time if extension or reenlistment is required to meet Time on Station (TOS) and/or End of Active Service (EAS) requirements once screened and accepted for CPT 6. 3.b.3. Must be eligible for worldwide assignment and meet minimum requirements per ref (a). 3.c. Incentives. Selected Marines will gain exposure to advanced opportunities, which include: 3.c.1. Advanced industry training and certifications. 3.c.2. Access to USSOCOM resources and infrastructure. 3.c.3. Industry and academic partnerships. 3.c.4. Direct contribution to national-level operations and strategic mission outcomes. 4. Administration and Logistics. 4.a. Submission requirements. 4.a.1. All application packages must contain a PMOS monitor acknowledgement. An email is sufficient for this requirement. 4.a.2. Complete CPT 6 application form, consisting of the following: 4.a.2.a Commander's evaluation form (completed by Office in Charge or Company Commander). 4.a.2.b Security letter from local Security Manager indicating TS/SCI clearance level. 4.a.2.c Signed Statement of Understanding form. 4.a.2.d Completed Authority for Release of Financial Information form to authorize a soft credit check to review credit history. 4.a.2.e Last three fitness reports for E-5 and above; JEPES markings for E-4 and below. 4.a.2.f All Marines must attach Basic Individual Record (BIR) and Basic Training Record (BTR). 4.a.2.g Optional: one-page resume or summary of relevant experience. 4.a.3. Contact POC1 to receive templates and additional guidance for the screening package. 4.b. Screening and selection. 4.b.1. MCCYWG and JSOC will review all applications. 4.b.2. Qualified candidates will receive an invite to participate in a CPT 6 assessment and selection process. 4.b.2.a Assessment and selection is four training days, which includes a technical interview, scenario-based evaluation, behavioral screening, and physical fitness test over the duration of four days. 4.b.2.b Assessment and selection are fully funded by JSOC, utilizing cross-organizational funding for travel. 4.c. Assignment. Marines selected for the CPT will be issued PCS or PCA orders to Ft Bragg, NC, for duty with JSOC. Operational requirements determine the billet and duration of the tour length. 5. Command and Signal. 5.a. Any Marine who meets the general eligibility guidelines, but does not meet time on station requirements for screening, is encouraged to contact POC1 for additional information about this opportunity for screening in the future. 5.b.
