MCBUL 7220. Change 1 to the Fiscal Year 2018 (FY18) Selective Retention Bonus (SRB) Program and FY18 Broken Service SRB (BSSRB) Program
This MARADMIN announces Change 1 to the Fiscal Year 2018 Selective Retention Bonus (SRB) and Broken Service SRB (BSSRB) programs, updating bonus amounts for various Military Occupational Specialties (MOS) due to reclassification efforts in the 06xx, 26xx, 28xx, 43xx, and 46xx occupational fields. 1. Purpose. This bulletin announces change 1 to ref (A), the SRB program and the BSSRB program authorized for FY18. Reclassification efforts of the 06xx, 26xx, 28xx, 43xx, and the 46xx communities come into effect on October 1, 2017. The FY 18 SRB plan will change to meet the requirements of the reclassification on October 1, 2017.<br> 2. Background. Coordinating Instructions. The FY18 SRB program statement of understanding (SOU), is available for download from the total force retention system (TFRS) and the enlisted retention manpower page. Refs (E) through (G) contain amplifying instruction for the execution of enlisted bonus pays.<br> 5. If SRB funds are obligated faster than currently planned or a change in retention requirements is necessary, HQMC will suspend or terminate the FY18 SRB program as needed prior to 30 Sep 2018.<br> 6.
