Fiscal Year 2025 (FY25) Reserve Affairs Active Reserve (AR) Career Counselor of the Year Award
This MARADMIN announces the results of the Fiscal Year 2025 Reserve Affairs Active Reserve (AR) Career Counselor of the Year selection board. Staff Sergeant J. K. Petersen from Marine Wing Support Squadron 471, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, was selected as the AR Career Counselor of the Year, with Staff Sergeant D. M. Decarlo from 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 4th Marine Division, as the runner-up.

1. This MARADMIN announces the results of the
Fiscal Year 2025 Reserve Affairs Active Reserve (AR) Career
Counselor of the Year selection board.
2. The AR Career Counselor of the Year Board was established to
recognize unit Career Counselors for outstanding performance within
the Active Reserve.
3. Per the references, on 13 November 2025, a selection board
convened to consider the nominations submitted. The results of the
board are as follows:
a. AR Career Counselor of the Year: Staff Sergeant J. K.
Petersen, Marine Wing Support Squadron 471, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing.
b. AR Career Counselor of the Year Runner up: Staff Sergeant
D. M. Decarlo, 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 4th Marine
Division.
