DoD Transgender Service Policy Update
This MARADMIN announces the publication of MCBUL 1121 on Transgender Service policy and outlines the associated training and education plan. Mobile Training Teams will visit major Marine Corps installations during the second quarter of FY17 to train lieutenant colonels and above, their senior enlisted advisors, and command surgeons on the new policy.

1. Purpose. To announce publication of reference (a) and the training and education plan associated with the subject policy. 2. Per reference (a), Headquarters Marine Corps will detail a Mobile Training Team (MTT) to visit major Marine Corps installations during the second quarter of FY17. The target audience for the education and training is lieutenant colonel and above commanders, their senior enlisted advisors, and command surgeons. The target audience is directed to review DoD's "Transgender Service in the U.S. Military an Implementation Handbook" prior to attending the training. The Handbook is available at: http:(slash slash)www.defense.gov/News/Special-Reports/0616transgender-policy under "Resources". The MTT schedule will be coordinated with the Marine Corps installations via separate correspondence. 4. Commanders, senior enlisted advisors, and medical personnel should contact the Marine Corps' Service Central Coordination Cell (SCCC) with any questions concerning the policy.
