FY21 Hardship Duty Pay – Tempo (HDP-T) Program Details

This MARADMIN reauthorizes the Hardship Duty Pay-Tempo (HDP-T) program for eligible Marines for a three-year period from October 1, 2020, through September 30, 2023. The message applies to all active and reserve component Marines and maintains all previous guidance while canceling the FY20 program details message.

Finance Personnel

1.  Purpose.  To reauthorize the Hardship Duty Pay-Tempo (HDP-T) program.
2.  Background.  Refs (a) through (c) provide Marine Corps guidance for the administration of the HDP-T program and authorize payments through 30 September 2019.  Per ref (d), the Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Manpower and Reserve Affairs reauthorized the Department of the Navy's program for payment of HDP-T for a three year period.
3.  Policy.  Effective 1 October 2020, the payment of HDP-T to eligible Marines is reauthorized through 30 September 2023.  All other guidance in refs (a) and (b) remain in effect.  Ref (c) is cancelled.
4.  This MARADMIN applies to all active and reserve component Marines.
